TOURING the world with One Direction has paid off big time for Australian band 5 Seconds Of Summer whose latest release topped iTunes charts worldwide overnight.
The band's She Looks So Perfect EP hit No. 1 on the digital charts in 37 countries on pre-order two weeks before its official release on February 21.
And all before fans had heard even a note of the title track single.

The four young men who formed the band as teenagers in a western Sydney schoolyard were hand-picked by British boy band 1D to open on their Take Me Home world tour last year.
5SOS, as their fans call them, quickly won the hearts of millions of teens and tweens, distinguishing themselves from the usual pop acts by playing their own instruments and writing their material with the help of some prominent hitmakers.
Luke, Mikey, Calum and Ash, all still teenagers, soon attracted the same scenes of fan hysteria throughout the world, getting mobbed by thousands of screaming girls when they left the safety of their hotels.
They now have almost two million Twitter followers, plus almost two million for each member's account. They communicate several times daily to their legions of fans.
Not bad numbers for the quartet who were discovered only 18 months ago via their YouTube covers.
Their channel has now amassed more than 40 million views.
She Looks So Perfect will enjoy a world premiere on Australian radio at 7.30pm tonight with the band keen to let their local fans have the first hearing.
They are currently on a sold-out tour of the UK.
